But I have some great men in my life that are great examples...
Pop pop- So I lost him wayyyy too early in life I was only probably 10 when he died because it was October of 1997. I didn't have much time to get to know him. But there were 2 things he loved God first and shared the love of God with me all the time. 2. He loved me. I knew it by the hugs and by who is was. He was a great man and I miss him tons. I cherish the times I had with him event hough they are distant. But celebrate the fact that he is with Jesus right now! I know he is enjoying it and even would talk about it.
Granddad- Hmmm what to say about the man who doesn't have many words to say but when he does it is important. I value his opinion on things and I value who he is as a man. He is my rock. He has taught me so much and I love him for that. He is such a gentle man but has an amazing sense of humor. I love him like no end. He is just as an amazing man of God and that is something that I
My dad- wow he is amazing he may be crazy but there are so many good things to say about him even though we fight or dont get along. He is hilarious even though I get embarrassed at times. I am thankful for all the events and trips he has taken us on I have sooo many memories I will never forget. He is also a great man of God and have seen him get through some tough times.
But being a dad doesn't mean it has to be your biological child. A dad can be anyone. I know so many people who are adopted especially at church I have known many families who have taken in family members or adopted from other countries and their dad is still their dad and their mom is still their mom. Being a mom or dad is more than just a name. It is the way they have unconditional love for you and raise you up and care for you. Adoption can take place as a baby or as a child or sometimes even as an adult. No one should be ashamed if it is not their real parents. God gave them those parents for a reason. God has a reason for everything.
I love my family and how awesome they are. :)
