Help!!

Since my weight decides to play games on me and myself eating too much I need help!! This totally stinks. I am starting to get really sad and its not like me to be sad. Please be praying for me. I dont know whats going on with my body. I mean yes I could be gaining muscle everyone keeps telling me that but I dont know.

An old sunday school teacher gave me this bible verse
Psalm 34:4
I sought the LORD, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears.

Maybe I am being fearful of getting to goal I dont know but I need to starting thinking God is faithful and just and will do this in his timing.

I know school is stressing me with my online classes and that could be another problem. I have deadline sthat I need to finish stuff by and I am not halfway done.

Ok now I feel a little better. Please be praying for me. This is such a tough situation.

Tuesday 10!!!!

I am doing this early tonigth so i dont forget.

I am thankful for...
1. How amazing my speech went yesterday!! Even though I was nervous.
2. For a friend to have practiced with.
3. That God always tends to heal me when I get sick. I had a really bad experience on Saturday night after chewing gum my jaw and tooth went into a pain that made me shake and want to pull out my hair.
4. For a family who laid int he bed with me and tried to make me laugh and calm down...it was THAT bad.
5. Watching my grandpas friends coming over and them reminiscing and crying together. They talked about everything and it just made me happy. They both lost their wives to the same diease in the same week. They also both still wear their wedding rings.
6. That my grandpa will be 79 tomorrow!! I am happy he is still alive so I can get wisdom from him.
7. I actually want to move into my other house and start painting and decorating. I didnt want to move before but I am literally moving 5 minutes away.
8. That God basically smacked me in the face last night to an answer I wanted. It was amazing and I was speechless when it happened. Some of you know what this is.
9. My Family is in the Word Every Day!! I love having a time of bible reading and prayer it just makes me know that we can do this and how much we love God and then each other. it makes me :)
10. I got a B on my midterm tonight I took online.

Every Family in the Word Every Day

The sermon today was awesome. Pastor had talked about it before and he finally did it. He wants every family int he word every day. It is an awesome concept. He illustrated in church today by bringing in the couch from the church office and sitting it on the stage at the school(thats where we have church until our building is built). He talked about the benefits of it. Which are:
1. Glorifies God
2. Purifying effect- when you read the word it just makes you feel pure and better and gets you abck on track.
3. Develop patterns for people
4. Helps and reduces conflict
5. Shows the importance of the word.
6. Brings a family together.

Pastor talked about how he learned at a revival from a preacher who said he read the bible and prayed with his wife everynight and challenged everyone to do it. So pastor started with his wife then when his family started growing they started doing it with everyone. Then during the sermon he brought the whole family up and they showed how they read the word everynight together. GLory who is 6 even read the bible and she was sooo cute at it. He challenged the church to do it as a whole no matter if you are single or have a family. He said it will better the church and I think it will.

This is a sermon i will carry with me the rest of my life. I want to do this with my family if I am blessed to have a family of my own one day. It shows your kids you care about the bible and it is important to read it. My family did it tonight minus my brother. We read Psalm 136 and then we prayed. My dad lead since he is the head of the household. I am very excited about this new thing we are going to be doing everynight. Not every once in awhile, every night. This will be something I do the REST OF MY LIFE!!

Your word I have treasured in my heart, That I may not sin against You. Psalm 119:11

Wednesday 10

I kinda forgot again about the Tuesday 10 again. Its ok only my second time!

1. For the cold even though I am FREEZING!!!

2. How when I go to church my mind just wants to hear more and more teaching!

3. That we have new people who are my age at church. Amber left so I have no one to sit by but Red sat by me and Dae can't forget abou thim.

4. That I have never let money rule my life. I was watching CBN this morning because it just came on after whatever I was watching and they were talking about being a good steward of money and how you can't bring it to you to heaven. Would you rather be rich in money or rich in eternal life?

5. My family and the biblical backing they give me to almost every question I have.

6. My grandfather and all the places he has been to and told me about them. We were watching the Inaguration and Bush and Obama were walking down the steps and he is like those steps are hard to walk down. He has a picture on those steps.

7. I will have a new cousin born in Paraguay this week. :) I love babies

8. Mrs. McHenry. She went to my old church and told my mom a story and it is coming true for me. She has been on my mind lately she was a missionary to Jamaica and I want to find her email.

9. Biggest Loser it definitly motivates me for my workouts on Wednesdays.

10. That my classes are going well and I have a schedule on doing my work and I hope to bring up my gpa 2 semesters in a row.

Sanctity of human life sunday!

Today President Bush declared today as sanctity of human life Sunday. It is a very important day because human life from birth to the elderly is very important.

Pastors sermon was on the seeking heart of God.

When Jesus did things he had one purpose but he also had some other reason too.

Jesus purpose on earht was For the Son of Man was to seek and to save that which was lost...Luke 19:10

The seeking heart of God will...
1. He will come to the rescue of the rejected.
If you look at John 9 its the story of the blind man who Jesus healed and when Jesus found out when they put him out He went to find him and asked him if he believed in Son og Man.

2. He will leave the many to get to one.
Luke 15:1-7 He tells a parable to shepards about how when they lose one sheep they go to find one and then they go and rejoice because they found the one missing sheep

3. Search even though he has some already.
He has tons of people who love him already and always tries to get more to add to the Kingdom. In Luke 15:8-10 After the parable about the sheep he tells the parable of the coin. Even though the lady had 9 coins she looked everywhere for the 10th coin and when she found it she rejoiced just like the shepard.

4. He will cross any barrier to get someone.
Luke 8:22-31. Jesus went out on the water during a storm to teach the disciples a faith lesson...not exactly the whole reason. He left them because there was a demon possessed man who needed His help. This is a person who people wouldnt want to talk to.

5. He may even shake heaven and earth.
Acts 16:20-40 Paul and Silas were in jail and to get them out God had an earhtquake to get them out...not exactly. When the earthquake came Paul and Silas stayed in the cell and brought the jail keeper to Christ and his family.

HE WILL DO WHATEVER IT TAKES TO BEING SOMEONE TO HIM. HE WANTS YOU!! HE CAN DO WHATEVER HE WANTS TO GET YOU!!!

I read this in my devotional tonight and it made me think how stupid I was for writing what I wrote before. I am not taking that post off I am learning from it. Here is what I read

I dont know why but I feel horrible. I go to NSU and I dont anything on campus. Yea I go to class and I have my online classes but I dont do anything to get invovled on campus. I feel like such a failure of a student. I would love to start a weight loss thing with public schools and go speak but my high school principal never wrote me back. I dont want to feel like this. Its like yes I am getting good grades in school and I raising my gpa to what it was like back in highschool but I do nothing. I always say o yea I should do that but I dont. Its not like the exercising is helping my weightloss. I am just staying the same my weight isnt moving. :( I feel like a dissppointment to Wade because I wish I was at goal weight and I could get all this flab off me. Its such a barrier why I dont do things. I dont like to be around a lot of people because I am afraid people are seeing the fat. Even when the fat is gone it is such an issue and only people who have been discriminated for being fat understand this. I want to start my fat camp soo bad and just go and live with all my kids who need to lose weight and help them overcome all their issues maybe mine would go away too.

Tuesday 10

1. That I remembered to actually do this today!!

2. My homework is going smoothly for my classes so far.

3. I am getting less scared in public speaking everytime I go to class.

4. That I keep finding more and more old friends on facebook.

5. There is only 14 and a half weeks of classes :) and whos counting

6. God is speaking to me every week in church with pastors sermon or when I am with my little kiddies

7. I didnt get hurt in my car accident.

8. I am loving my car more and more each day. Thankful that it brings me places safely!!

9. I listed my friends books one day on half.com and they sold within the hour I listed them. My one friend could use the money

10. I dont work next tues. I will miss working with my bffl but I can stay at home and do hw and go eat with my grandpa. even though I will be working less I am faithful God will provide!!

Second Sunday of 2009

Hi!! Today pastor had a great sermon about a man who did everything he could to start missons back in the 1700's. He started the first international mission board over in Nottingham. His name was William Carey and he said an AMAZING quote that I will be using in my life.

Expect great things from God and attempt great things for God.
-William Carey, May 1792

But to be able to do this you need to have a zeal for God with a mindset of wanting to do it.

Just because you expect great things from God it doesnt mean everything wont be perfect. William Carey went through lots of trials he had 2 kids die at infancey and one die when he was a child. He lost a wife and got kicked off a boat when they found why he was going India. His life wasnt easy. Funny thing is people always think Christians have it soo easy.

As we honor God He multiplies.

This quote is a God centered quote so we need to be obedient. Dont demand things from God expect things.

Pastor also used this verse today and I thought it was a good one for a friend!! You know who you are. I know you are going through tough times but be faithful it all will work out. If you think this is for you and it isnt I hope it helped in some way

It doesnt exactly have to do with you directly but some parts of it do. Just be faithful and everything will be fine!! I love you and I am praying for you and I know it will all work out just fine!!! :)

Tuesday 10

Whoops I am late to say what I am thankful for!!

1. That this is the only day I have been late to write.

2. That I have a besft friend to be my gym buddy and she kept me going and I burned 500 cals.

3. For this year I know lots of things are going to happen in 2009.

4. My online classes arent that bad.

5. I am getting less and less scared for speech class

6. My radio in my car!!

7. My ability to get my weight down from being 13 pounds up to 4 pounds up

8. Not eating a donut at work that the boss brought yesterday.

9. That I get to sleep in this semester.

10. That I have had a love for cooking this week and found recipes and made them.

The daily lessons I learn!

Today was a great day! I started my first day of my classes of my junior year. Wow I am almost done with college it is so exciting but scary at the same time. I only have one class on campus because they werent offering my other classes at the times I could take them so I have 4 online classes but 3 right now.

As you all know I talk a lot. I love to talk I always have but tonight in my devotion the focus verse was He who restrains his lips is wise. —Proverbs 10:19. I am trying to do that. My brother was texting me and being very mean and I could have come back with a comeback but I restrained my tongue. He is my brother even though he is mean to me and makes me want to cry sometimes I just neeed to shut up. I love when God puts bible verses in front of my face that I needed. Like the other night He put a verse in front of me about food when I was struggling with some issues. I seriously dont know where or what I would do without God. He is my all in all and I love making him smile and pleasing him daily. At the gym today I had the best workout/worshipping Him. I first put it on shuffle and I didnt like half the music i put on so I put on my worship music. When I listen to that music it just makes me smile and I know everything will be ok :)

Old friends

Tonight I was talking to an old sunday school teacher of mine. I was telling her how my life was going and she is sooo sweet. I was telling her how school was starting and she is like poor baby are you ready. I love her sooo much she is a part of me growing up. Whe I have a problem I can always go to her. Tonight I was just talking to her and telling her some issues going on in my life and she gives me true biblical answers. I have so many people who I have met throughout the years who mean sooo much to me. She was my teacher when I was only 2 years old but it will stay with me the restof my life. I might not fully remember what I learned but I know its in my head. She is also really funny and is always joking around with me and my family. I love you Mrs. Pena and you mean sooo much in my life!!!

I know this is my third post today and must think I am crazy but I love to talk talking is me. Talking is who I am and it makes me smile to talk especially when I am pleasing God. Dont worry with school starting I wont be writing as much.

First Sunday of 2009

It was the first sunday of the new year and I loved the sermon and gave me a good outlook for the new year.

A New Year's Ambition
Therefore we also have as our ambition whether at home or absent to be pleasing to Him.
2 Corinthians 9

This year it is going to be about pleasing God in everything that I do. I will constantly be asking is this pleasing the Lord? If you are saved it shouldnt matter to you and you want to please Him. When you are saved and Jesus is in your heart you should have a desire to please God. Pleasing God and pleasing people are two different things. You cant please the Lord without Christ, Chris is needed to please God.

When trying to please God:
1. ask for wisdom it pleases God
2. Watch your thoughts. Let my thoughts be pleasing to God. It affects the pleasure of God. Read through the bible and memorize scripture.
3. Pleasing God is tied to sexual purity. sexual immorality isnt pleasing to God.
4. Pleasing God even when we hurt.
5. Please God when we give
6. Please God when we honor our parents.

Pleasing God is something that has to grow and it just doesnt arrive. As you grow in Christ you should be growing in pleasing God and have a desire to do it.
DESIRE TO PLEASE GOD!!

This year I am going to please God in all that I do. Thats what I desire to do because I am growing in Chrst daily. I even got this ring which I am kinda going to use as a reminder of everything that I should do everything to please God. Its kinda like a purity ring but I am wearing it on my left middle finger. I am kinda not thinking of it as a purity ring because I made that promise a long time ago to God and I dont need a ring to tell me. I have nothing against purity rings a lot of my friends have them. Most of my friends who have them their parents gave them to them. I like this ring I got to remind me to be Godly and use it as a reminder not to eat.

Thankful

I was sitting in the truck on the way home thinking which I probably shouldnt have been doing. I was thinking what a great trip I had with my mom, dad, and sister. We had many inside jokes. We didnt stop laughing or telling jokes even when times got stressful because it was really crowded. It was so crowded that we did a conga to get around and my mom was even moving her hips!! I am thankful to have parents who love to take us places and have a great time. I am thankful they always watch out for me and my daddy always tells my mom when there is a curb to pass along the word to watch her step. When I get off a ride he always helps me out and my mom. He is always looking out for us girls. Since my brother doesnt like to participate anymore with us. My parents are sooo cute. I love walking through the parks and watching them hold hands. I know I am lucky to have parents who are still together.

One other thing I really looked upto was my dad in two different restaurants giving a cd to them with the gospel on it. He gets this feeling to give them one and he does. He can so easily share the gospel with people well atleast tell them here is a gift listen to it then pass it on to a friends. I was very proud when I saw him doing that. Having parents like that shows me what I need in my future prince. He needs to be like my dad.

I loved this trip and all the other trip s I have been on in my life. I am thankful to have parents who have showed me all over the US (well the east coast). A lot of it is places I will go back because it is filled with American history and memories.

I love my family and the way they make me laugh!!!

Disney!!

I had such a great day with my sister today!! We got to do all the rides we wanted. It was fun I know I have been to Disney a lto of times but it is sooo much fun being there and going on the rides you used to go on as a kid. If you think about id Disney is such a big mission field. There are people from all over the world. When I was going on the three cabballeros no one barely spoke english. To be a missionary there you need to know a lot of languages. There isnt just the parks either there are the hotels and downtown disney. I really enjoyed just walking around wiht my sis even though it was really busy. I like to people watch and see different kids. When I see a kid who is overweight it breaks my heart though. well time for bed my eyes are closing. I had wayyy too much sugar today!!

I dont know why this situation bugs me so much what I said. Probably because I joke around too much with my friends. I really want them to forgive me and right now I am thinking about that situation again. I think a lot. I get that from my grandma. I just think if I could do it all over I would or even if they would talk to me and see that I am different. God has totally changed my life. I mean there a few things that need to change. like I dont know when to shut my mouth I talk a lot. But tonight the family was joking around in the car and I was sticking my head out the window because someone made a stinky in a very enclosed space. But then I joked around and said a joke that I shouldnt have. TATI I AM SOOOO SORRY!! See I am even writing it on here for everyone to see. Its just when my family jokes it gets me in a joking mood. But I am still sad that I am not allowed over that persons house. If I were to go over again it wouldnt be the same because I am different and I wouldnt act like that anymore. I was just raised in a joking family. I mean come on my grandma used to do the william hung dance. Well I am going to bed I have a long day tomorrow but everyone please be praying for me I need it. I am very sad and think about this everyday. I know I posted one blog but I just had to write again.

Just thinking

I am still sitting in the hotel 6 hours later getting ready to leave for downtown disney. I am very sad though. I am very proud of myself this year for changing a lot and growing up but I am very disturbed by the fact that my best friend is too afraid to invite me to her house because I might ruin things again. I didnt do anything that bad but it bugs me sooo much that they dont want to see me. When I think about it I just want to cry because I ruined it all. I said a stupid joke that in my family would be funny but to them it wasnt. I wish I could take it all back. Like right now its bugging me because I havent been over there in forever and I wish things would change. I know I talk about it a lot with her and she gets mad at me but I dont know what to do. I am praying about it and I know God has a reason for everything but I always tend to be sad about it. :(

Well I am going to downtown disney now. I just hope one day they will forgive me and see the new stephanie who doesnt act like that anymore.
